I recently had a Deep Tissue Thai massage with Maliwan, and it was truly exceptional. This is my third visit so thought I should write a review. From the moment the session began, she created a calming, welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Her technique is outstanding- precise and incredibly intuitive. She knew exactly where to apply pressure and how to release tension without ever causing discomfort. What stood out most was her professionalism combined with genuine warmth. Every stretch and movement felt purposeful, and I walked out feeling lighter, more flexible, and completely refreshed. It was easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for an authentic, deeply restorative Thai massage, I highly recommend booking with Maliwan. She is truly gifted at what she does.
Thai Facial Massage
Acupressure and massage for the face, jaw, and complexion.
Thai Facial Massage applies gentle acupressure and massage techniques to the face, jaw, scalp, and décolletage — areas where tension accumulates invisibly but registers throughout the body as stress, headaches, and sinus pressure. The treatment is non-invasive and oil-based, using delicate lifting strokes and targeted pressure point work to release jaw tension (often linked to TMJ discomfort and teeth-grinding), stimulate lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness, and improve skin tone through increased circulation. The result is a natural, relaxed radiance — not a surface treatment, but a therapeutic one.
Key Benefits
- Releases jaw tension and reduces TMJ-related discomfort
- Reduces facial puffiness and water retention through lymphatic drainage
- Improves skin tone and natural radiance through increased circulation
- Relieves sinus pressure and congestion via acupressure points
- Softens habitual facial tension (brow, temples, jaw) accumulated through stress
- Deeply calming — facial work activates the parasympathetic nervous system rapidly
- Suitable for all skin types; non-comedogenic oils used throughout
What to Expect
You lie on the treatment table, fully clothed from the neck down. Maliwan uses a light warmed facial oil and begins with gentle décolletage and neck work before moving to the face itself — working through the jawline, cheekbones, temples, eye sockets, and forehead with both massage strokes and precise acupressure points. Remove contact lenses beforehand. The treatment concludes with scalp work to integrate the release. Sessions typically run 30–45 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — the oils used are gentle and non-comedogenic, and Maliwan adjusts pressure accordingly. Please mention any known skin sensitivities, allergies, or active skin conditions when booking so she can select the most appropriate oil.
The oils we use are non-comedogenic and formulated to be gentle on facial skin. Some clients with active breakouts experience temporary purging as lymphatic circulation increases — this is short-lived and typically followed by improvement.
Chronic jaw tension and bruxism are closely connected. Regular facial massage targeting the masseter and pterygoid muscles can significantly reduce jaw clenching, particularly when combined with stress management. Many clients book monthly sessions specifically for this reason.
Sessions typically run 30–45 minutes. You remain fully clothed from the neck down — just remove contact lenses beforehand and avoid heavy foundation on the day if possible, as Maliwan applies a light warmed facial oil throughout the treatment.
Yes — the treatment is gentle and non-invasive, and many clients find it unexpectedly powerful for stress relief because facial work activates the parasympathetic nervous system very rapidly. Maliwan will explain what she's doing and why as the session progresses.
For TMJ discomfort or chronic sinus pressure, a session every two to three weeks for a short course tends to produce clear improvement. For general stress, skin radiance, and maintenance, once a month is a well-established rhythm that most clients find sustainable.

I had a Thai massage here recently and the experience was a mix of positives and challenges. The massage room was spacious, ambient, and very comfortable, especially the massage table. The masseuse was friendly, attentive, and clearly skilled. The massage itself was mostly relaxing, but at times the pressure was stronger than I could comfortably handle. I was reassured it was “good pain” due to the tightness in my shoulders and back, but I did end up with bruises on my arms and back and felt very sore for a couple of days, which affected my sleep. On the positive side, a few days later I noticed that I felt lighter and less tense, which shows the massage did release a lot of tightness. I would recommend this place for those who like deep, strong pressure massages, but if you prefer something gentler, I suggest making this clear to the masseuse at the start.
A beautiful experience — highly recommended I had the pleasure of booking a Thai massage in Glasgow today and it was a truly beautiful experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. The team was very friendly, incredibly professional, and delivered excellent work throughout my visit. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and I could tell that great care was taken in every detail. It’s clear that the ladies working here are passionate about what they do, and I’m so grateful for the hard work they put in. This is definitely a place I’d love to return to — and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you again!
Fantastic place. Staff are very knowledgeable, attentive and skilled. I had some tightness in my back and hip which they noticed right away and went a long way to easing. The staff were also careful around my knee and elbow which had some sporting injuries. The rooms are serene with light music and subdued lighting. The hot oil treatment is very soothing. I look forward to returning. Many thanks
